Nine Mile Island

About Nine Mile Island

Nine Mile Island is approximately 31 acres of land, recently acquired by the Town of Pendleton from the NYS Canal Corporation. It is located on the southern side of Tonawanda Creek and is accessible from Orbit Road in the Town of Amherst. The land is for use as green space and passive recreational uses and contains campgrounds, nature trails and restroom facilities.
